Pat Courtnage, born in Winnipeg, received a BFA from the University of Manitoba and an MFA from the University of Regina.
Her studio in West Broadway is located in a heritage building that was once a corner grocery store, typical of the “Chicago School” of architecture. The studio backs onto a courtyard garden which provides inspiration for much of her work.
In Pat’s studio you will find raku masks, leaf planters, breast plates, and a fantastic collection of clay shoes featuring fish feet, flowers, and lizards.
