Bachelor of Fine Arts (hons.) from the University of Manitoba and attended the University of British Columbia faculty of education as an art major. Ann has worked in Winnipeg as a visual artist since the early 70’s.
“My painting, drawings, and prints are mainly reflections of my love of nature. They reflect my concern for the world and the destructive effects that “modern” living has on the natural world.
“My inspiration comes from the vibrant colours in the natural world, theatre, dance and celebrations from our own and other cultures.
“The work examines paradoxes that exist within human relationships. The figures and the animals that inhabit this world live in a fantastic environment, which is full of colour and contradiction.”
