Visiting this studio, you will find unique and contemporary clay sculptures and a variety of works on paper from traditional printmaking to digital compositions.
Born in Manitoba, Gaëtanne has presented a dozen solo exhibitions, and has been included in numerous juried and group exhibitions across Canada and internationally. After graduating from University of Waterloo with a BA Fine Arts in 1990, she pursued her art career in Winnipeg. In 2001, she has been included in two residency and exhibition/projects, Knowing Bodies at Saint Norbert Arts Center and Histoire de sens at Maison des artistes in Saint-Boniface. She was included in 2004 Homecoming, a juried alumni exhibition at the University of Waterloo Gallery and in 2005 in the Manitoba Craft Councils annual juried exhibition. The same year she was in residency at Graff in Montreal.
This year, following a residency at a digital art studio, Centre Sagamie, in Quebec, her work is featured in a two person exhibition at Maison des artistes. She is also included in a juried show By Design at the Manitoba Craft Museum & Library, the inaugural exhibition of the Buhler Gallery at the Saint Boniface Hospital, and notably in Rencontres: Encounters at the Musée des maitres et artisans du Quebec in Montreal. Gaëtanne works primarily in ceramics and printmaking.
Her studio is located in Winnipeg’s Exchange District. Her work is included in government, corporate and private collections.
